Comprehensive Examinations

Oral Health check and medical screening – a new way of examining your mouth and body.

Oral Health Check

What is an oral health check?

Modern medicine and dentistry are about identifying risks, in order for us to predict what bespoke advice we need to give you regarding your oral health. We look commonly in your oral health assessment at risk factors for mouth cancer, tooth wear, gum disease and decay. We would link these risks to other medical and social risk factors in your life, in order for us to look after all your oral health needs. We would produce a risk assessment passport, which would link into how often you would need to have an oral health assessment, and how often we need to expose you to x-rays to monitor your mouth for disease.

Why is the mouth the window to the body?

Dentistry, like medicine, now follows an evidence-based approach. We at Na-Nóg Dental are up to date with current research in all aspects of dentistry, and we pride ourselves on the fact that our oral health checks are comprehensive. We also look at the whole body from a medical model point of view.

Why should I have my observations recorded?

At Na-Nóg Dental we believe in providing all round body care, and we feel that offering a medical model for our dentistry allows us to look after your dental needs as well as improving your general health.

At Na-Nóg we have bespoke membership plans which allow you to spread the cost of your care throughout the year. We have worked very closely with Privilege Plan to provide you with three unique plans called Cynllun ‘Na-Nóg +2’ Plan, Cynllun ‘Na-Nóg +4’ Plan and Cynllun ‘Plant Na-Nóg’ Plan, all of which give 10% of all of your treatment, and emergency dental care. Your Oral Health Check and Hygiene visits are included, and your can have peace of mind that your children’s oral health needs are looked after.

At Deintyddfa Na-Nóg Dental & Implant Team, we have some of Wales’s most experienced clinicians in the field of Restorative Dentistry. We work closely with our hygienists and our dental laboratories to give healthy gums and world class long-term restorations, for functionally stable, healthy mouths and bodies.
